The significance of May 7th 2020…

On May 7th 2020 (the final supermoon of the year), Buddhists, and light workers across the globe come together to meditate and pray as they receive the unusual influx of life energy and spiritual blessings that are said to flow from the Divine worlds, into the minds of humanity on this day of the Taurus full moon. It is a time of spiritual enlightenment and illumination as many people use this time to focus on the elevation of human consciousness.

For Buddhists, this day known as Vesak or Wesak, is a celebration of the birth, enlightenment and death of Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha), events which all took place during the period of the May full moon. These events are honored as the living Buddha is said to return to Earth each year to bless humanity and provide enlightenment to those who seek it.

On this day it is recommended that during your meditation and prayer you are clear in your thinking and you keep in mind the needs of humanity. It is also important to bring your awareness to any unresolved issues that you may be facing, as Full moons are known to expose or enhance existing issues that you have not yet dealt with. If you wish, you can also recite The Great Invocation, the ancient prayer below that helps to align and focus your will to illuminate human consciousness. At the end you can make the “Om” sound to close the invocation.

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

Let light stream forth into human minds

Let light descend on earth

From the point of love within the heart of god

Let love stream forth into human hearts

May the coming One return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known

Let purpose guide all little human wills

The purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the Center which we call the human race

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out

And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Lots of love and light to you always!
